St. Thomas Beaches With Stunning Clear Waters You Must See

Colorful sunset over one of the serene St. Thomas beaches with vibrant hues in the sky and calm waters.

I have a strong bias toward St. Thomas beaches because they are in my hometown! But biases aside, I believe St. Thomas has the best beaches in the world. With over 100 (yes, you read that right) beaches to choose from, I narrowed down my top 3 you should visit.

Coki Point Beach

Coki Point holds a special place in my heart! I remember visiting as a kid and being amazed by how different Coki Point was from other beaches. Coki Point was one of those beaches where you could walk through shallow waters for a while before suddenly encountering a massive drop-off. It has always been crystal clear, and since it is close to the Coral World, our aquatic park, it is filled with harmless fish to enjoy and snorkel with. Now, unfortunately, Coki Point has become a tourist haven, often crowded with beach chairs, unlike most other beaches in St. Thomas.  Hopefully, you can ignore the crowd enough to grab a bite, enjoy drinks, and have a good time.

Santa Maria Beach

Santa María is one of the U.S. Virgin Islands’ hidden gems. It is one of those beaches you need to hike to, and finding it is a bit challenging because there is no official signage. However, if you are lucky enough to visit this oasis, you might find yourself one of the only people on the beach. The U.S. Virgin Islands have no private beaches, but Santa maría beach is a pretty close option.

Lindquist Beach

Unfortunately, Lindquist Beach is one of just two beaches in the U.S. Virgin Islands that charge an entrance fee. In my opinion, every beach should be free for everyone to enjoy. Nonetheless, Lindquist Beach’s beauty in St. Thomas is priceless! The water is crystal clear, making it an excellent spot for snorkeling on the island. It is also less crowded, probably due to the entrance fee, which makes for a much more pleasant experience.
