Barcelona is one of my favorite cities in the world. I’m not just saying that because my Jupiter line runs through Barcelona, or maybe I am. Nonetheless, the city is a must-visit spot for travel lovers everywhere. Here are a few of my favorite things to do in Barcelona.

See a flamenco show at Palau Dalmases.

I feel like whenever anyone thinks about dancing in Spain, flamenco is the most common dance form that pops into mind. I enjoyed my flamenco show at the Palau Dalmases in Barcelona. Palau Dalmases is a 17th-century palace transformed into a flamenco show venue. I loved stepping into the past and viewing this traditional art form in its native country. It was beautiful seeing the art form of flamenco come to life and feeling the music fill my bones. The entire show was in Spanish, so I have little to no idea what it was about, but the emotions of the performances are what kept me entertained. I also got a complimentary Vin de Serano, Spain’s notorious summer wine.

Visit the beach in Mataró.

Who would’ve thought that Spain has stunning beaches? When I found out about the beaches, I knew I had to visit. Emma is home to what seems like a never-ending stretch of beaches. And you would not believe that, in my opinion, the beaches hold up in terms of Caribbean quality. That’s right, in Mataró, you can expect crystal clear and warm waters. Make sure to pack your swimsuit on your next visit to Barcelona.

Barcelona is an artistic city. The layout of the streets themselves is enough of a beauty to marvel at. If you visit La Sagrada Familia, you’ll get a perfect step into the art, architecture, and history while having a beautiful aerial view of the city. La Sagrada Familia has been in construction for over a century, and its construction still isn’t finished. I also recommend visiting the Arc de Triomf and Royal Gardens.
